I'm passionate about flowers, especially zinnias, and I've been growing zinnias from seed for two seasons. This past summer I grew over 110 zinnia plants and took over 4,000 photos. I've created this web site so that I can share their beauty.

Despite this being a new passion, I have become an "award-winning" gardener, winning blue ribbons in all three categories that I entered at the Illinois Garden Club's 2024 Flower Show at the Chicago Botanic Garden. My flowers won blue ribbons in the Cosmos category; in the “Small Zinnias” category, and in the “Large Zinnias” category (as well as 2nd and 3rd place.) Most impressive is that the "Small Zinnia" blue ribbon winning bloom also received an Award of Merit for winning the entire Annual Cut Flowers category.
